"From the bottom of the broken heart"

"Never look back," we said
How was I to know I´d miss you so?
Loneliness up ahead
Emptiness behind
Where do I go?

And you didn´t hear
All my joy through my tears
All my hopes through my fears
Did you know?
Still I miss you somehow

From the bottom of my broken heart
There´s just a thing or two I´d like you to know
You were my first love,
You were my true love
From the first kisses to the very last rose
From the bottom of my broken heart
Even though time may find me somebody new
You were my real love,
I never knew love
´Til there was you
From the bottom of my broken heart

"Baby," I said,
"Please stay
Give our love a chance for one more day"
We could have worked things out
Taking time is what love´s all about

But you put a dart
Through my dreams
Through my heart
And I´m back where I started again
Never thought it would end

From the bottom of my broken heart
There´s just a thing or two I´d like you to know
You were my first love,
You were my true love
From the first kisses to the very last rose
From the bottom of my broken heart
Even though time may find me somebody new
You were my real love,
I never knew love
´Til there was you
From the bottom of my broken heart

You promised youself
But to somebody else
And you made it so perfectly clear
Still I wish you were here

From the bottom of my broken heart
There´s just a thing or two I´d like you to know
You were my first love,
You were my true love
From the first kisses to the very last rose
From the bottom of my broken heart
Even though time may find me somebody new
You were my real love,
I never knew love
´Til there was you
From the bottom of my broken heart

" Never look back" we said
How was I to know I´d miss you so?

Rolls Royce Loan

A businessman walks into a bank in San Francisco and asks for the loan officer. He says he is going to Europe on business for two weeks and needs to borrow $7,000.

The bank officer says the bank will need some kind of security for such a loan. So the businessman hands over the keys to a Rolls Royce parked on the street in front of the bank.

Everything checks out, and the bank agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan. An employee drives the Rolls into the bank's underground garage and parks it there.

Two weeks later, the businessman returns, repays the $7,000 and the interest, which comes to $19.67.

The loan officer says, "We are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little confused. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multimillionaire. What confuses us is why would you bother to borrow $7,000?"

The businessman replied, "Where else in San Francisco can I park my car for two weeks for $20 bucks?"

Their sons

These 4 pals go out to play golf one sunny morning. One is detained in the clubhouse, and the other three are discussing their children while walking to the first tee.

"My son BIll," says one, "has made quite a name for himself in the home-building industry. He began as a carpenter, but now owns his own design and construction firm. He's so successful in fact, in the last year he was able to give a good friend a brand new home as a gift."

The second man, no to be out done, tells how his son began his career as a car salesman, but now owns a multi-line dealership. "George is so successful, in fact, in the last six months he gave his friend two brand new cars as a gift."

The third man's son, Albert, has worked his way up through a stock brokerage, and in the last few weeks has given a good friend a large stock portfolio as a gift.

As the fourth man arrives at the tee, another tells him that they have been discussing their progeny and asks what line his son is in.

"To tell the truth, I'm not very pleased with how my son turned out," he replies. "For 15 years, Frank's been a hairdresser, and I've just recently discovered he's gay. However, on the bright side, he must be good at what he does because his last three boyfriends have given him a brand new house, two cars, and a big pile of stock certificates."

Good Habits for Good Vision

  1. When dealing with the computer, whether you need the help of glasses or not, there are good habits and practices that can help those poor old eyes.

  2. Establish an eye-friendly environment for your computer use.

  3. Position your monitor 20" to 26" from your eyes and about 4" to 6" below eye level.

  4. Dim the lights. Most offices, especially those with florescent lights, are too bright.

  5. Flickering florescent lights should be eliminated.

  6. Use proper lighting. Eliminate reflections on the computer screen. Reduce excessively bright light both inside and out.

  7. Match the computer screen to the brightness of the environment.

  8. Adjust your monitor for contrast and brightness. In general, dark letters on a light background are easier for most people to read.

  9. Minimize glare on the computer screen. Use window shades, blinds, or drapes to block excessive sunlight. Move the computer to a location that causes no glare on the screen or use an anti-glare screen guard or hood.

  10. If you are seated in a draft or near an air vent, try to eliminate the flow of air past your eyes. Make sure you sit straight in front of the monitor rather than off to the side.

  11. Take a 5-minute break every hour or two to reduce eyestrain.

  12. Blink more often. When staring at a computer, people blink about five times less frequently than normal according to some studies. Blinking lubricates the eyes. If you don't blink, tears that coat the eye evaporate causing dry eyes. Dry air in the computer room can aggravate this condition.

  13. Every fifteen minutes, focus on distant objects to relax your muscles.
